The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

• Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details, social media contact details)

How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
• To contact you after you have made an enquiry.
• To create your ceremony.

We use the information that you have given us in order to contact you to book a ceremony and create and deliver the ceremony and process any payments.

We may share this information with another independent celebrant from my network who has been specifically requested as a backup if I am unable to deliver your ceremony on the day. You will be informed of who and when this is arranged.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) We have a contractual obligation.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored.

We keep your personal information details for up to 1 year after the ceremony unless otherwise agreed with you to use for promotional reasons. Electronic data will be kept securely in password-protected folders and where necessary shared securely. I will then dispose of your information by deleting your information from the computer or if paper shredding and disposing of it securely.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Hosting server
We host our website on a server provided by Kinsta Inc. in the UK. The servers automatically record information created by your use of our website (“Log Data”). No cookies are set on your device to do this. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, the country you are in, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, and cookie information. How we collect your data

Email
When you send an email to the email address displayed on our website we collect your email address and any other information you provide in that email such as your name, telephone number and the information contained in any signature block in your email.

Phone
When you contact us by phone, we collect your phone number and any information provided to us during your conversation with us. We do not record phone calls.

Post
If you contact us by post, we will collect any information you provide to us in any postal communications you send us.

Contact forms
When you contact us using our contact form, we collect your name, email address and telephone number. We also collect any other information you provide to us when you complete the contact form, including any optional information you choose to share as part of the message you send us. If you tick the opt-in box on a form, we may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
